Resources

There is so much astrological information online. It almost feels as though I’m trying to reinvent the wheel by even having an astrology website. But astrology is my great passion, and I like to organize my thoughts through the written word so here we are! It’s my hope that over time, I’ll be able to contribute much more to the astrological knowledge base. In the meantime, I’ve compiled a list of my favorite astrology resources.

Free Astrology Software

AstroDienst Extended Chart Selection

With a free account, you can save up to 100 charts! There are several different charts that can be “drawn”: secondary progressions, solar arcs, solar returns, synastry, and composite. You can switch between tropical and sidereal, helio, and geocentric. There are so many options on Astro.com once you learn how to navigate. This is my go-to when I want to look at asteroids in a chart. The ephemeris is very useful as well.

Astro-Seek.com

This is another with loads of options. I particularly like that you can sort midpoints in various ways. This site can also tell when transits, progressions, and midpoint activations are exact. There are a lot of cool features not available on Astrodienst. There’s an ephemeris search engine where you can find dates in time in which a planet was on a specific degree. You can search for celebrities with planets on a particular degree. There’s information on lunations and various other planetary cycles. They even offer a bit of numerology.

PlanetDance

If you’re looking for FREE software to download to your computer, PlanetDance is it! As far as I can tell, you can store an unlimited amount of charts. There are selections for classical/traditional, including profections, zodiacal releasing, primary directions, Arabic Parts, Hellenistic Lots, and much more along those lines!

Much like Astrodienst and Astro-Seek, it offers all kinds of progressions — including converse!, planetary returns, synastry and composite, harmonics, declinations, and midpoints. There are even some Vedic options. Out of the 3 resources listed here, I probably use PlanetDance the most these days.
