The midpoints of Saturn/Neptune and Uranus/Chiron met in a semi-square aspect on January 7th 2025, and remain active throughout January. Those with planets around 21-22 degrees of the Mutable signs, or 6 degrees of the Fixed signs will feel this the most acutely.
Saturn/ Neptune midpoint keywords and symbolism
Saturn/Neptune is THE midpoint I think of first when it comes to illnesses. But it also has other meanings.
Saturn is often linked to hardships, problems, and difficulties of all kinds, depression, being “down on one’s luck”, to be isolated — or in some way inhibited. It is associated with aging, the elderly, figures of authority, and long-standing structures. Saturn rules all things that hold up over the course of time (i.e. traditions) Saturn also represents perseverance, concentration, and hard work.
In contrast, Neptune is associated with things – including boundaries — dissolving. It is a planet connected with altruism and compassionate care of others. To “treat others as you want to be treated” or to “walk a mile in another’s shoes” are Neptunian concepts as they require the empathic ability to imagine things from a perspective other than your own.
Neptune has a flair for fantasy, drama, and glamor. It represents poets, musicians, dancers, fiction-writers, and actors. Neptune is also linked to spirituality, mysticism and altered states of consciousness.
More negatively, Neptune can represent delusions, illusions, and confusion, often linked to fraud and deceit. It is also associated with medications, intoxicants, and things that evade our ordinary senses, such as germs and harmful gases or fumes. It can — in some instances — indicate physical or emotional weakness.
Saturn/Neptune can manifest in any number of ways. Here are just a few examples:
-Conditions that are difficult to diagnose / problems with no clear-cut solution
-Depression, changes of mood, anxiety, panic attacks, hysteria
-Neglectfulness and the tendency to deny responsibility. Instances in which it is not clear who to hold accountable.
-Weak will. Lack of self-discipline or self-control.
-A weakening of structures or a dissolving of restrictions.
-Things that breakdown (Neptune) over the course of time (Saturn rules over the concept of time)
-The ability to endure despite being in a weakened state.
-Caring for people who are in need (One of the most “positive” indications of Neptune is compassion/empathy. Those who are in need are represented by Saturn).
-Structured spiritual practices and rituals.
-To use self-control for spiritual or religious purposes (asceticism or abstinence)
-Working hard to bring one’s imaginative visions into concrete reality.
Uranus/Chiron Midpoint Keywords and Symbolism
Uranus represents sudden, unexpected occurrences and signifies novelty, innovation, and an interest in cutting-edge technology. It symbolizes freedom, inventiveness, and a spirit of independence, often associated with eccentricity and non-conformity. Those under the influence of Uranus are independent thinkers, rebels, and revolutionaries.
Chiron, often referred to as “the wounded healer,” is the offspring of the Titan Kronos (or Saturn). Although immortal (due to his godly lineage), Chiron suffered a serious wound from a poisoned arrow, which he could not heal despite his vast medical knowledge. Orphaned at birth, Chiron’s conception was a lusty one; Kronos took the form of a horse and galloped away when his wife, Rhea caught him in the act with the sea nymph Philyra.
When he was born, Philyra was disgusted by his half-horse appearance, and abandoned him. He was raised by Apollo and Artemis, who taught him music, poetry, prophecy, archery, hunting, and medicine—fields in which he excelled. Chiron later became a mentor to both gods and human heroes.
Unlike the other Centaurs, who were often violent and unruly, Chiron was characterized by his kindness, gentleness, and wisdom. Some myths highlight his role as a loving husband and father, and in Magi astrology, he is linked to true love, marriage, and family. While there is some evidence supporting these associations, the most significant events related to Chiron’s influence tend to revolve around painful experiences. Key themes associated with Chiron include wounding and healing, as well as pain, suffering, abandonment, and separation.
Uranus/Chiron can express itself in various forms. Below are a few possibilities:
-Sudden separations. Abrupt abandonment
-To break free (Uranus) from a painful situation
-Sudden relief of pain / suffering
-Pain with a rapid onset
-Harmful new technology (tech=Uranus)
-“Alternative” healing. Use of unorthodox medicine, therapy or remedies
-Novel events associated with healthcare
-Shocking events in which there is great suffering.
When Saturn/Neptune meets Uranus/Chiron…
The most obvious possibility for Saturn/Neptune = Uranus/Chiron is (in my opinion) related to illnesses coming about suddenly, or shocking events related to healthcare.
Interestingly, this midpoint picture had Saturn/Neptune = Uranus/Chiron at a little under 2 degrees from “approaching exact” about a month ago when we had the United Healthcare CEO event.
I mentioned this incident in a previous post on the activation of Neptune=Uranus/Pluto, but perhaps Saturn/Neptune = Uranus/Chiron is even more fitting.
Saturn/Neptune= “Neglectfulness and the tendency to deny responsibility” – which is running rampant in the health insurance industry.
Uranus/Chiron = “To be harmed by technology” – we’ve learned that insurance companies are using algorithms to deny claims rather than relying on the input of medical professionals
Also, Uranus/Chiron = Sudden events associated with health (or the health care industry)
An event much closer to the exact semi square between Saturn/Neptune and Uranus/Chiron happened the day of it. The Los Angeles wildfires started on January 7th, and decimated the Palisades neighborhood, burning many houses down to the ground.
Saturn/Neptune = Weakening or dissolving of long-standing structures.
Uranus/Chiron = Unexpected events which cause great pain and suffering.
Again, this midpoint picture will remain “active” throughout January 2025. It is possible we could see other shocking or devastating incidents make the news in a big way.
